Explosive Doc King—Bay stallion foaled September 11, 2002 by sire Explosive Enterprise, double bred Poco Bueno and King, and by dam, Be Sincere Gal, by sire Prescriptionized by Doc’s Prescription and dam Simple N Sincere by Enterprising King, sire to Explosive Enterprise. With King we have a double-helping of King and Poco Bueno, plus the influence of Doc Bar and Doc’s Prescription. There is nothing that “King,” as he is affectionately known, can not do, and do impressively too. He is without a doubt the smartest horse we have ever seen. King even helps with his stall and pen cleaning! Yes, when a person enters his pen to clean, they had better have two shovels, one for themselves and one for King. We have pictures to prove it. As we shovel and scrape, so does King. He will pick up a shovel and go to work, mimicking what the people are doing with their shovels. King loves to please, and despite his wanting to be in charge, takes orders well and responds. When first saddled, he pitched with it maybe two jumps and then stopped, and went to work. He accepts what you want him to do, and has no fear. King can also turn on a dime and give back nine cents change. Full grown we expect him to stand about 15 hands tall. 2005 is his first breeding season, and will train under saddle too. To truly appreciate Explosive Doc King you must see him in person. He is awesome to look at, beautifully built, and quite an athlete. His agility, quickness and his flexibility is remarkable. We fully expect King to be a great horse like his namesake.
